Coca-Cola brings India & Pakistan together by using Small World (Vending) Machine.

Coca Cola installed a specially designed vending machines this March in both India & Pakistan. This machine which is created by Coke and Leo Burnett has a special full-length webcams that allowed participants to see each other and interact in real time.

High-tech vending machines built by The SuperGroup, a digital agency in Atlanta installed in two popular shopping malls in Lahore, Pakistan and New Delhi, India – two cities separated by only 325 miles, but seemingly worlds apart due to decades of political tension – invited consumers to put their differences aside and share a simple moment over a Coke.

This machine allows people to make direct eye contact and touch hands. The touch-facilitating machines are the latest creative usage of beverage dispensers engineered by Coke. People from both countries and various walks of life were encouraged to complete a friendly task together – wave, touch hands, draw a peace sign or dance – before sharing a Coca-Cola.

“The people of Pakistan and India share a lot of common passions and interests – from food and Bollywood movies, to Coke Studio music, to cricket,” said Saad Pall, Coke’s assistant brand manager in Pakistan. “What this project did was connect people who are not exposed to each other on a daily basis, enabling the common man in Lahore to see and interact with the common man in Delhi. It’s a small step we hope will signal what’s possible.”

Wasim Basir, integrated marketing communications (IMC) director, Coca-Cola India, added, “We wondered what would happen if people from these two countries came together, and the answer was clear: goodness and happiness."

Through Small World Machines, Coca-Cola is redefining what it means to be a global brand, according to Leo Burnett Executive Creative Director Dave Loew. "It’s not just about size and scale and being everywhere," Loew says. "It’s about being on the ground, making a positive difference in people’s lives."

Get ready for 2020 Marketing.

Are you prepared for 2020 consumer. Insight of what to expect in 2020 and how to reach to consumer & most importantly how to prepare for the 2020 consumer.

Prepare yourself for 2020 Marketing.

Now we are approaching 2020 at a lightning speed, consumers today equipped with smartphones, Google Glass, digital wallet, virtual stores & customized services from competitors. So if you are not in with the evolution your are probably heading for the graveyard.

How to Prepare for 2020 consumer.

1. Be Extreme customer centric.

Even before being customer centric you need to understand the basic of the getting the thing right and looking for the blind spots in your customer experiences. If you start ignoring those little thing customer will eventually start ignoring you.

One of the ways to do it is to have feedback from customer, understanding their needs, what they like and what they dislike, what new they would like to see or want, the best source is to have a online community.

One can also be a mystery shopper of oneself, to find out whether the customer are treated like king.

To become extreme consumer centric, think of 'first step' that would really excite consumer that will lead to great consumer experience. the best way is to avoid having multiple service level for different consumer. The key is to have a great consumer experience which can be evaluated.

Another way to improve your consumer satisfaction is by doing a 'ARK - Act of random kindness' for your consumer, offering something more what consumer expects.

One has to offer the experience to consumer even before he/she actually experiences it, a product sample or the experience of service even before consumer actually buys.

2. Technology as a facilitator in Marketing.

Technology will play a key role in marketing, enhancing the experience for consumers by offering relevant content to consumers, real time adapted promotions to augmented reality offering self service to consumers.

Companies will also benefit from technology and will be more efficient in-terms of being able to track data across channels, being able to auto detect problems and resolving it on timely manner & also helping companies to have automated pricing depending upon the various aspects of marketing P's and competitors.

Technology can benefit not only consumers by bringing product and service near to him but also companies who are offering them, technology will reduce cost of man machine hour by have interactive communication with its consumers and gathering more and more data of consumer thereby offering personalized experience to consumers.

3. Selling without selling.

Future belongs to one who is able to sell its story more than its products or services, which will add value inspiration for consumers. The more your are related to consumer the better consumer is related to you. The idea is to keep consumer hood to you than to your competitors. Creating your own media keeping consumer informed about yourself and also about others. Having consumer a rich experience will definitely benefit in long run.

2020 Marketing Department

The 2020 Marketing Department has to be small ,specialized external parties consisting of data expert, creative personals, trend expert, community management, mobile expert, copy writers, co-creation experts focused on short term goals. Companies need to have full budget flexibility to adapt to changing marketing trend and has to be focused on project based short terms marketing budget.
